FTN Challenge Junior - High school competition in short idea presentations and debate

Event description:

Event content

The competition is intended for students of the 3rd and 4th grades of high school and until now was based on the competitive discipline of short idea presentations (Elevator pitch). A team of high school students composed of 3 members has 4 hours to come up with an idea with which they would solve a situation from a real environment. They present their idea within 60 seconds in front of an expert jury, where they have to convince them that their idea is the best.

"The concept of the competition is phenomenal and we like that the creativity of young people is appreciated. The themes are adapted to our age and we think they are great to lead us into some other little serious story afterwards.” - last year's participants, the team "The Right Choice".

This year, high school students will have the opportunity to, for the first time, try their hand at the discipline of debate. A debate is a formal discussion in which two opposing sides exchange arguments in support of different points of view on a topic, respecting pre-agreed rules. Teams in the debate are composed of up to 2 high school students, that is, the leader and a member of the opposition plus one member as a reserve.
